A segment was taped with Mark Henry coming out to the ring and saying if Big Show sticks his nose in his business then he's going to do something about it.

-Judgment Day Announcement-
SmackDown General Manager Vickie Guerrero comes out. She makes the announcement that at Judgment Day The Undertaker will be able to compete for the vacant World Heavyweight Championship title against an opponent that will be determined tonight.

It is announced that there will be a "Champion Chase" tournament. The winners of the tournament will compete in an over the top battle royal as this week's SmackDown main event. The winner of that match will face The Undertaker at Jugment Day.

Matt Hardy vs CM Punk - Champion Chase Qualifier
Matt Hardy b. CM Punk in a qualifying match. Punk tried to roll up Hardy but he reversed it to advance to the Battle Royal later tonight!

MVP vs Finlay - CC Qualifier
MVP vs. Finlay ends in a countout. The match was described to me as slow and boring.

Diva Match
Natalya Neidhart b. Kelly Kelly with a sharpshooter!

Announcement
It is announced that both MVP and Fit Finlay will be included in tonight's main event battle royal.

Batista b. John Morrison to qualify for the Battle Royal later tonight!

Big Show b. Tommy Dreamer in a short match with a chokeslam.

The Chase the Championship Battle Royal main event is next. Big Show vs. Kane vs. Batista vs. Matt Hardy vs. Finlay vs. MVP

Matt Hardy is eliminated first by MVP. Finlay is eliminated next by Kane. MVP eliminates himself. Big Show eliminates Kane. Batista eliminates Big Show for the win!

Vickie Guerrero comes out and says Edge has been cleared to wrestle. Edge spears Batista off the ring apron.

SmackDown ends with Edge celebrating on the entrance stage beside a podium that contains the World Heavyweight Championship belt (it had been there all night). The podium suddenly blows up and the lights go out. Undertaker's music hits. No Taker.

This I like the torunament thing. i love when stuff like this happens.

Yeah, at least this announcment makes things better.

I like the tournament and the fact that whoever is the winner will face off against Undertaker at judgment day.

Well first match is matt Hardy vs CM Punk. Its like a redo of the King of the ring tournament on Raw, when they faced each other and punk won.

Yeah, they were both really great and almost evenly matched again, like last time. They really had an awesome match...

This time though, the winner was matt Hardy. that must have been a shock, especially to punk.

Next was MVP vs Finlay.

They fought really good. Finlay showed us his agressive style and then MVP had his usual tactics and the match was nice. It was something different.

Match ends in countout. Next match is kelly kelly vs natalye Neidhart.

Nice diva action and natalyie shows off her strength.

In the end natalyie wins the match with the famous Sharpshooter.

Next was batista and John Morrison. A nice match, not seen often.

Man, John Morrison had some really nice maneuvors in the ring against batista. I dont care if he lost, but morrison sure put a fight for Batista, the Animal was pushed to the extreme and definitly I can say that morrsion got more moves on batista.

Thats for certain. John Morrison is another of my favaorites and he had really nice moves. he did a lot of spring board attacks of the ropes. he also got the break dance Leg drop. he countered many moves and i think he was close to winning it, but in the end, batista prevailed with a spear out of no where, followed by a Batista bomb.
